START

Begin your Ausangate 7 Lakes Full-Day Tour with an early hotel pickup in Cusco at around 4:00 AM. Travel through scenic Andean valleys, traditional villages, and beautiful mountain landscapes on the way to Pacchanta, a high-Andean community located at the foot of Ausangate Mountain.

Upon arrival, enjoy a delicious breakfast prepared by local families. Your guide will then give a short briefing about the hike, altitude, safety recommendations, and the route before starting the adventure.

ADVENTURE TIME – Ausangate 7 Lakes Hike

Start the hike from Pacchanta and follow a scenic high-altitude trail surrounded by alpacas, llamas, glaciers, and snow-capped peaks. During the trek, visit the famous 7 Lakes of Ausangate, including Otorongo, Alqacocha, Q’omercocha, Orqo Otorongo, Azulcocha, Pucacocha, and Patacocha.

Each lake has its own unique color and natural beauty, with turquoise, blue, and green tones framed by the impressive Ausangate mountain range. Along the route, enjoy photo stops, peaceful landscapes, and panoramic viewpoints.

One of the best moments of the hike is reaching the Ninaparayoc Viewpoint, a natural balcony with incredible views of the lakes and the majestic snow-capped Ausangate Mountain.

After exploring the lakes, return to Pacchanta along a scenic trail. Enjoy a hot buffet lunch with traditional Andean dishes, and then relax in the Pacchanta hot springs, the perfect reward after the hike.
