Pickup in Cusco
The tour begins with pickup from your hotel. The exact departure time may vary depending on the tourist train schedule and the entrance time assigned for Machu Picchu. Our team will confirm all details before the trip so you can enjoy an organized experience from the very beginning.
Journey from Cusco to Ollantaytambo
After pickup, we will travel by tourist transportation to the Ollantaytambo train station, located in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Along the way, you will enjoy Andean landscapes, mountains, agricultural fields, and traditional villages before boarding the train to Machu Picchu Pueblo.
Tourist Train to Aguas Calientes
Upon arrival in Ollantaytambo, we will board the tourist train to Aguas Calientes, also known as Machu Picchu Pueblo. This journey is one of the most special parts of the trip, offering views of the Urubamba River valley, mountains covered with vegetation, and beautiful natural landscapes on the way to one of the wonders of the world.
Bus to Machu Picchu
Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, our team will provide the necessary assistance to continue to the bus station. You will then take the tourist bus to the entrance of Machu Picchu, on an approximately 25 to 30-minute ride along a mountain road with panoramic views.
Guided Visit in Machu Picchu
Once inside the citadel, we will begin the guided tour through the main sectors allowed according to the circuit assigned on your entrance ticket. During the visit, our guide will explain the history, architecture, ceremonial importance, and cultural value of this impressive Inca sanctuary.
The visit follows a one-way established route. It is not permitted to return to areas already visited, so it is important to follow the guide’s instructions and respect the assigned circuit.
Free Time for Lunch
After the guided visit, we will return by bus to Aguas Calientes. There, you will have time for lunch and, depending on your return train schedule, you may take a short walk around the town or enjoy its surroundings.
Return Train and Final Journey to Cusco
Afterward, we will board the return train to Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival, our tourist transportation will be waiting to take you back to the city of Cusco. This is how a complete, safe, and well-organized one-day experience to Machu Picchu comes to an end.
